This was s (sic) good book. A quick read, not because the wringing is simple or shallow, but because the stories are instantly engaging, they carry you away immediately. Other reviews have compared Mr. Barber’s writing to David Sedaris. I can see how fans of David Sedaris would enjoy these stories. They’re funny, but not hokey. Some of them are gut wrenching to read, and would otherwise be impossible to read without Mr. Barbers sense of humor to help things along. Looking forward to more from this author, I feel like I’ve discovered a real gem. Read this book.
